The liver is the largest gland in the body that supports all organs in the body. Liver detoxification happens at every moment of the day. Protect it from the harmful substances and toxins we bring into our bodies- the booze, drugs, chemicals, pollutants, pesticides and herbicides. 

what else do cruciferous vegetables do?

  • its fiber is great for weight loss and maintenance because fiber helps keep you full and satiated.
  • its rich in the antioxidant vitamin c, which helps your body to make collagen - better joint flexibility and beautiful skin and hair
  • its vitamin b content for cardiovascular health and improved memory. Folate - one of the b vitamins - helps produce serotonin, which can ward off depression and elevate mood. Folate also creates dopamine to prevent PMS symptoms.
  • its calcium load for healthy bones and teeth, muscle movement, strong nervous system and immune system, immunity and in the prevention of osteoporosis. 

Cruciferous vegetables like collard greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, cauliflowers, turnips and bok choy stimulate liver detoxification pathways. They're in season so don't avoid them.
